Since first qualifying from the Canterbury School of Architecture in 1970, the repurposing of existing buildings has always been an area of focus. In 1990, Roger gained a Post-Graduate Diploma in Building Conservation from the AA.
Projects have included work to Scheduled Monuments, Listed Buildings and a number of Community projects, as well as innumerable domestic projects that have transformed the lives of many families
The Chapel, South Kent College, Folkestone
For years, the chapel had been used as a teaching area for painting and decorating for the college, but it had been badly altered and adapted to suit that purpose. We were tasked with restoring the fabric to its former state and creating a student café and lounge area.
